Image shows a power shovel excavating gravel from within a gravel pit. An empty dump truck is parked next to the shovel. A man stands next to the power shovel and another man can be seen in the cab operating the machine. Sand and gravel seams are visible in the pit bank behind the equipment and forest trees are beyond the pit. Hewitt's inscription is visible on the front of the image.
