Image is of a man, identified as trapper Ed Ueeck, wearing wolverine mittens and holding a rifle. Mr. Ueeck was a resident of Palmer for many years and trapped around the Sheep Mountain area at the head of Matanuska River. He is the subject of a book, “The Man From Sheep Mountain”, by his nephew Kim A. Ueeck.
