Description

Image shows wind-deposited soil exposed in a cut bank along the Glenn Highway about 1-1/2 miles north of Palmer. Once exposed by the road cut, the wind has eroded the soil, exposing tree trunks and roots that were buried when the fine soil was originally deposited by the Matanuska River wind years before.
