Image shows the highway leading from Anchorage and the Butte approaching the Matanuska River steel bridge sometime after it was constructed in 1934. A car is visible approaching the bridge on the gravel road. Trees and brush are prominent on both sides of the road. The river is partially visible through the latticework of the bridge.
