Description

This image was taken on the "Wasilla road" looking east to the new school building nearing completion and the mountains beyond which still exhibit snow in sheltered areas. Buildings are apparent on both sides of the gravel road, Structures on the left were constructed in support of the early Matanuska Colony needs while buildings and water tower on the right are part of Palmer's growing private commercial district.
