Four unidentified men stand next to a "Welcome to Palmer, Alaska" sign in this color photo. Two smaller signs are attached to the signpost indicating the Lions Club and Future Farmers organizations exist in the community. The sign stands beside the Glenn Highway at the foot of Bailey Hill north of Palmer. Snow covers the ground. Power polls with cross bars are evident. Small regulatory signs at the edge of the highway indicate the speed limit is 25 miles per hour and other rules apply.
