Description

This summer view looking down the straight stretch of road across Eklutna Flats toward Anchorage shows a section flooded with high water, possibly caused by a combination of high tide in Knik Arm and the outbreak of Lake George flooding the Knik River valley. At left, under the toe of the mountain, can be seen the telegraph poles along the railroad. At right in middle ground, one of the small buttes near Eklutna village is visible.
